Holistic healing is often pitted against medical science. We at Vedic Mind believe in looking at both sciences together in wholeness, for they are both equally important and integral parts of each other. The problem arises when instead of understanding them together, they are considered as separate from each other. Since holistic science is more inclined towards spiritual or holistic views, there is little clarity and understanding on this subject, which is commonly called healing.
WHAT IS HEALING?

The word healing is known to all, but what it entails, how it works & where it helps, is very unclear to a large majority of people .
Healing is holistic because it encompasses improving the mind, body, heart & spirit. It is about healing your innermost self, and hence it is known as holistic science or alternate therapy.
HOW & WHY HEALING HELPS?

We as people are so deeply involved in our day to day life, that we forget that people, words, situations, changes, happenings, death, loss, breakups, fights, abuse, broken hearts, unfulfilled wishes/desires, trauma etc. are constantly impacting us.
Whatever impacts us leaves it mark on us. Since this impact is not physically seen, but only felt, it is overlooked or ignored most of the time. It plays out in our physical body as a disease or make us feel as if we are at a dead end in our outer life. We call them blocks – or a feeling of being trapped in the same old patterns. When life is to be experienced as beautiful, we suddenly feel it as a burden, monotonous, boring and filled with burden and drudgery.
DISEASE IF WRITTEN AS DIS-EASE, will help you understand that the uneasiness that we feel, the discomfort - is coming from within us. These signs of discomfort are subtle; engrossed in our daily lives, these subtle signs are ignored by us in general, unless & until they blow into our faces as diseases in our physical body. We need to nip it before it manifests in our physical body because once manifested different measures are needed to be taken to counteract on it.
Healing is the way or process or therapy techniques to deal with the dis-ease within your subtle or inner body.
MISCONCEPTIONS OF HEALING?

Foremost healing is a journey - & it is paramount for this to be understood.
The idea of healing is often looked at as "being cured". Being cured is more of a medical/scientific term, which is mostly associated with a particular ailment.
Healing encompasses totality or wholeness & is inclusive of your emotional & intellectual domain. Mind-body-spirit. Yes, it is a long-term journey, the result that you may achieve - is that you transform your ailment for a better enriched healthy positive outcome & free from a specific pattern of illness. It is a slow process, but the end result is extremely enriching.
So in our words - if you are looking for immediate cure then visit a doctor.
If you are looking for freedom from ailment go to a healer.
WHO IS A HEALER?

A healer is a person who has walked the path towards mindfulness or wholeness. They say that the healer is like a soldier who carries many scars which they have healed within themselves. Hence a true healer is a person who encompasses or holds within himself the knowledge of how to bring alignment of every part of your mind, body, heart and spirit for a person to heal.
Healers fall under two categories
A) Spiritual healers
B) Therapy healers
SPIRITUAL HEALERS - are shamans in their own rights. They are people who allow the energy of the spirit to flow through them in a way that guides, rejuvenates & empowers others.
THERAPY HEALERS - are those who learn different therapy/techniques of holistic healing and help others to guide and heal.
