Stones represent static energy as opposed to the cycle of vegetal growth. Stones represent the unchanging principle of integral life and are thus believed to restore all human faculties. The earliest communities of sorcerers and magicians, the so-called ‘magical’ men communed with the mineral world and used stones to heal a variety of illnesses. They believed that it contained a particle of divine breath and that each stone retained the heat that it received from the sun. In Celtic traditions, stones were associated with fertility. In Judo Christian traditions it also represents transmutations. Thus, lithography is an ancient way of healing with gems and crystal stones.

How do crystals and gems work?

Whether a gem or a crystal, each stone is unique and vibrates and emits its own unique radiance. Hence each stone is both a transmitter and a receiver of various vibrations. This radiance interacts with the electromagnetic waves of our body that in many ways still remains mysterious. Crystals & gems are also believed to be connected to the planets. It is said that each stone still has many secrets to reveal. But, it is vividly noted that when used, they bring strange phenomenal changes within and around us through their vibratory patterns, which contain and control the color and sound spectrum around us.

Modern medicine and the curative applications of lithotherapy.

Lithotherapy is alternative holistic healing. It is seen as a safe alternative to overprescribed pharmaceuticals, because the radiance of the mineral world is like electrotherapy or radiology, but without its potential dangers. Stones that are used externally do not carry high-risk factors. The most that might happen is slight fever or vertigo if one is in contact with a powerful stone.

Lithotherapy can also be used to mitigate harmful side effects. It can also help to heal and soothe those who suffer from the illness of psychosis.

Though lithotherapy can be used to treat many kinds of illness it cannot cure everything. Extreme serious illnesses and infections do require medical treatment.
